array of resources to help deepen your practice. Here are our responses
to frequently asked questions about Yoga, Reiki, Element Training, and
our Mosaic studio. Feel free to contact us if you would like to learn more!
I’ve never done Yoga before — would these classes be good for me?
Yoga can be done at any age or physical ability. As a moving
meditation, Yoga has been shown to have many positive effects
from a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual perspective. Just a
few benefits include:
Mosaic offers an array of classes for all levels. Beginners are encouraged to try Hatha and Basic Vinyasa classes to start.
What do I need to get started with Yoga?
You need very little to begin your Yoga practice! Come with
an open mind and a readiness to breathe deeply. Simply wear
comfortable clothing to class, bring a towel, and if you’d like,
a water bottle (we offer filtered water in our studio, though to
conserve and preserve the environment, we ask that you bring your
own reusable bottles). You can purchase your own mat and bring
it with you to class, or borrow one from our studio. Yoga is typically
done barefoot.
Do I have to be very flexible to do Yoga?
You do not need to be flexible to do Yoga. In fact, the more you
deepen your practice, the more flexible you can become. And, our
instructors offer modifications, so that you can adjust each class to
suit your specific body.
Who are your instructors?
Our instructors are a diverse group of unique individuals with varied
personal and professional backgrounds. We have come together
with the shared desire of creating a safe and sacred space for
each person to grow to his or her fullest potential. Get to know our

What styles of Yoga do you offer?
Mosaic features classes in Basic Vinyasa, Power
Vinyasa, Restorative Yoga, Gentle Vinyasa, Advanced Asana, Forrest, and Yin Yoga infused with Reiki.
Can I do Yoga if I have health issues?
Each new student fills out a brief health questionnaire and waiver.
As always, please consult your health practitioner before beginning
any physical activity and remember that we are not medical
professionals and will direct you to the appropriate resources to
receive the care you need.
What is Reiki?
According to Pamela Miles, author of Reiki: A Comprehensive
Guide, “Reiki supports our well being and strengthens our natural ability
to heal by encouraging balance.” Reiki is the practice of giving subtle
balancing energy to the body, in all its expressions (physical, emotional,
spiritual) to go where needed for complete well-being. Typically given by
trained practitioners through a light touch affecting the subtle vibrational
body, Reiki encourages balance and harmony within and around.
How will I feel after receiving Reiki?
The benefits of Reiki can be both subtle and profound. Many people
report reduced stress, greater concentration, improved digestion and
more restful sleep. In addition, some may find that Reiki assists in
deepening their meditation, drawing a deeper sense of connection to the
universal source of consciousness and sense of self.
Where can I learn more about Reiki?
Mosaic offers private Reiki sessions, as well as Yoga classes designed to
incorporate its healing touch. Please contact us at info@mihd.org

Guide.

Fire, Air, Water) with the 4 major elements of our health (Nutrition,
Exercise, Spirit, Purpose). This method of training is specifically designed
